As tensions in the Middle East continue to escalate, Midnight Drop returns to one of the moments that helped shape the current crisis: Operation Midnight Hammer, the June strike in which the United States targeted Iran’s nuclear facilities.
The film follows two lives on opposite sides of the world. Laleh, a woman in Tehran beginning her morning routine feeding stray cats, unaware a strike is about to reach her doorstep.
And a B-2 stealth bomber crew flying a classified mission toward Iran.
What neither side can see in that moment is the other - yet both are connected by the same event. Midnight Drop is the third and most ambitious film in The Decisive Moment, OneDay’s cinematic series that places audiences inside the turning points shaping our world, described by Variety as “Mission: Impossible for the News.”
Using the latest generative tools and bespoke AI-powered workflows, OneDay blends live performance capture, cinematography and AI-rendered environments to recreate moments of recent history with cinematic realism and emotional depth.
